im looking at watercooling right now but i got a question which might seem noobish.
when you upgrade cpus thats a different socket, do u have to ditch the block and buy a new one or will it still fit even with the socket difference?

some blocks can fit many diffrent sockets however most will need new mounting hardware or in the case of blocks like the Danger den TDX you will need a new top.

it depends on the block maker... aqua-computer for axample uses universal mounts on the Cuplex Pro, the Twinplex (NB/GPU cooler) can be refitted with a new top for €5, same thing with the other CPU coolers, Cuplex and Cuplex Evo.

With DD you have to get a new top, as for any others, I've never owned their stuff, so I cannot say.
