okay, well im getting a couple of thins for whole sale price.
should i go with the BFG GeforceNVidia6800 GT or the GeforceNVidia 6600 GT. I know that 6800 GT is better, but is it worth the price difference?

any help would be great.

a 6800gt outperforms 2 6600gts in SLi, plus with the 256-bit bus and the more ram, you are a lot more safe for future games
 
Yeah, the difference in price is a dissapointment. The 6800 GT will come close to the 6800 Ultra in some benchmarks but doesn't cost as much. The 6800 (non-GT) is between the two cards you named. Someone here at a link to it at $189. That was a very good deal.

But, I'd say you would be more future proof with the 6800 GT because I heard in an interview with Tim Sweeney that the 6800 Ultra should run UT2007 on max when it comes out.

I'm still waiting for benchmarks on UT2007 before I make any decision though. Although I may replace my Ti4200 with a 9800 Pro while I'm waiting for the Geforce 8 line to come out. :p

im on x800xl and prolly wont update soon, unless ofcorse r520 going to be amaizing
 
:rolleyes: that isn't even a real 6800NU, just a crappy LE. I wouldn't get it.

If I had a budget PCI-E system, I'd get a 6600GT. If I had a budget AGP system, I'd get a 6800NU or 9800pro (depending on level of budget).

If you can afford it (and wholesale price sounds like it), get the 6800GT. It really is on a whole other level.
