My hydor L35 pump in my water cooling setup is louder than all my fans put together. It is really annoying. Does someone have decibel specs for pumps used in water cooling? If you do please post them as I would like to replace my pump with one that is quiet at a similar GPH flow. I thought water cooling = quiet, not with this pump. Also if anyone else has a hydor 35 please let me know if yours is unbearably loud. Thanks.

Don't feel bad man.. Ive got to L30's that sound liek meat grinders. My first last almost a year before it started to make huge amounts of noise the newst one lasted only about 2 1/2 months. Ive spoken to a Hydor USA rep thats offered to send out new impellers to me, since he was able to hear the grinding noise it was making.

This is what I found though, if you wanted to, drain your loop and pull your pump apart, and look to see if the shaft where the magnet slides over is worn, or "scarred" as the rep put it.

Tomorrow when I get my camera back I'll try and take pictures of my original shaft. It looks like someone took a wood lathe knife and tried to make a shapely table leg from it.

The hydor 35 made too much noise when it was brand new!!! THanks for the support though. Next time I drain my system will be when I get a new pump, too much of a pain in the ass to do.
