No sound??

Just installed Vista on an old Dell, and for some reason Vista is not detecting the on-board sound... I believe it's a Soundmax chip, and the odd thing is, I've installed Vista on several similar machines (Dell 4600's) in the past few months, these are work machines, and I have never had any issues with sound... up until now.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

Nevermind.. I just downloaded the XP driver from Dell and manually installed it and all is fine..
