My case has 2 hdd bays, and 2 3.5 floppy bays right on top of those. Right now i have 2 ide drives that take up the bottom ide bay, and bottom floppy bay. I'm getting 2 new sata drives, that will be my raid block. If i put them in the top bays in either area, i will have a solid block of 4 hdds, under general strain. I think this is really shitty for cooling, but i can't find any other way to have my windows (c
data (E
and then my 2 raid drives (I
in at the same time so that i can boot and then move crap from one disk to the other. Pics of what i mean:
Can i mount a 3.5 hdd in a 5.2" bay? I've seen people use rubberbands and bunjees to mount hdds to dampen the vibration. Is there any special precausion i would need if i mounted my drives in the cd bays?
Also, can a system using an abit a7v600-x use raid'd sata drives and 2 ide drives at the same time?
