i have a viewsonic e90f+ and was just recently watching a movie... looked away then looked back and the colors seemed wierd, i messed with some settings and noticed that when i adjust red scale nothing changes. i dont know much about monitors. i take it whatever part in there that displays red is broken?
 
have you checked your cables to make sure there isnt anything slightly unplugged or pins broken? just checkin the easiest thing possible.
