I was at the santa monica apple store tonight so I fired up the UT2004 demo on a new G5 with the 23" cinema display to see how it ran. I expected there to be tons of ghosting as it was such a large and relatively old screen. I was surprised however, maybe I'm blind, there was no ghosting! I was there with about 5 friends and they didn't see any either. I played for a good 15 minutes and my friend played for another 5-10 minutes. It was soo beautiful...

Has anyone else seen the cinema display perform this well, and if so when was it? I'm thinking there is a new LCD panel in there because I remember seeing warcraft ghost heavily on the cinema display at fry's about a year ago. Perhaps they have "super displays" at the apple store to lure you in to buying.

Btw, The internet connection at the apple store rocks. 0 ping on all internet servers in the server browser.

the best way to see if its ghosts is run a quake timedemo on it.
