Im looking for a quick disconnect that i can put inline right befor the RAD. This is going in an industrail machine shop. So needless to say i have to clean the Rad offen. Its a pain in the ass to drain and refill the systems down here so i thought i would try something new.

i would like to mount the kit external with no drip dissconnects. It would make it easy to remove the fan and wash the RAD. There are 3 computer out in the shop area and all of them have to be water cooled. Right now there all in koolance cases. but anyone who has had to clean one out knows my pain. Takes like 6 hours to dissasemble clean reassemble and fill.

You want Colder quick disconnect fittings. AFAIK there is no such thing as 'no drip'. All quick disconnects will drip the liquid that is in the fitting, but that is it.

i just need a dissconnect that will not let the coolant drain out of the system. If there are a few drips i dont care. the RAD will be outside the case.
 
you want to use the "NS6 Series Non-Spill Plastic Couplings" .

they are superior to the ns4's, specifically they have a much better flowrate, i use these.

The set i use have one side as a bulkhead fitting but there is an inline version availiable so no swet.

When you disconnect them there is 0.03 cc/disconnect @ ~ 0 psi spillage. Take it from the horses mouth...it is nothing. The only reason i notice it is because my loop has nulon (aussie product) in it so is stupidly green. Just wipe it out with a paper towel.

can i jump in herre and ask a question?

say if you ID want to bleed the system as well as remove the rad... could you have an extra coupling with a bit of tube / valve on it and so when you remove the rad you just attach this bleed valve to the coupling and bleed away? does that make sense?

or better yet, in a regualr loop, where would be the best place to have a disconnect to use for insertion of a drain valve? in between which components?
 
question then. if the lowest point in my system is right BEFORE my pump... what should i do?
 
Reverse "T" type of thing should work without hurting flow...... :D You'll just have to try it to see how well it works on your system.
