I really wouldn't base a PSU decision on its looks because it's an essential part of the system which, if it goes bad, can bring the whole thing down.
 
Looks like yet another Topower based unit. Not the worst around by any means, but in that price range, you can certainly find a lot better. IMO, there's something to be said of understated elegance (class, bling whatever you want to call it). Personally, I think all of these blingified PSUs on the market are really doing a dis-service to the community as a whole. I really think people should be looking @ things like quality, truthfulness (in the ratings), warranty, etc; bling should be much lower on the list.

IMHO, you'd be far better off getting a Corsair HX520 in the sub $100 level (AR, typically retails ~$110-120ish), a true 520w unit (rated @ 45c? I think, or is it 50c?; no idea what Topower says, more likely industry standard of 25c), well documented being a quality unit...5 year warranty, the flat [black & modular] cabling (easier to hide [under the motherboard]). Otherwise look @ other Seasonic based units, or Silverstone, etc, etc. If you *must* have lighty bling, and are willing to trade a warranty to do so, I'd go for the mentioned Corsair and replace the stock fan w/ a lighted 120mm fan; rock solid supply with a [cue Mike Judge voice] piece of "flair" [/Mike Judge].

[edit] It would also help if you told us what you will be powering with your new PSU..I'm assuming you're building a new rig (than what's in your sig), since you mention "when it's built" or something like that?

and check froogle.google.com; (and/or ClubIt.com); multiple retailers (inc ClubIt) apparently have the Corsair unit @ <$100 atm, no rebate. likely. $106 shipped @ ZZF.

on a slightly ot subject, wtf ClubIt wants $9 shipping? And I did a quick 'Egg check too (on 5-600w modular units), and their shipping rates are ~$8.48+, gas price hikes by FedSex and the brown package people due to gas prices perhaps? I don't recall shipping rates @ major retailers being this high not that long ago...
 
silverstone has some pretty good modular power supplies i think they are 600w 750w and 800w models. but hey search around for some eye candy if your looking to "show off", because those silverstones are straight black, pretty blan but it performs well and its silent so im happy.
 
Thanks for the help guys. To tell you the truth I don't fully know what I'm going to be putting into the rig yet. I think I have my heart set on the Intel Dual Core 2 Duo E6400 processor. Motherboard I'm a little foggy on, I keep reading reviews but haven't gotten my heart set on anything... shopping around for a mixture of great price with great performance. Video cards again I haven't even looked at yet, I eventually want to step up to Dual SLI, but that's going to be further down the road as the games will need it...

I'm not strictly going for the "bling factor" as I'll call it, just trying to find a happy medium of something I can make pleasing to the eye, but also performs wonderfully. I used to have a good power supply in mind back when I wanted to respec about a year ago, but I can't remember what it was, probably an Antec Modular if they exist.

It's decent. It's no Etasis or PCP&C, but it's better than quite a few psu's on the market.
 
Antec NeoHE 550W (A4 Revision or higher), if you can still find one. Simple-looking without being ugly, 42A on the 12V lines at 50C. Quiet fan, even under load.

BTW, I'd like to see how the Antec stacks up against the Corsair.
 
My Toughpower (thermaltake) has been working very well for me, and it looks good too. High gloss black with an aluminum "toughpower" plaque on the side. Not that I can see the side since the psu's flipped 90 degrees in my Armor, but it'd look really good if it were visible ;)
