I was configuring some apps yesterday and then when I rebooted my computer was freezing at bootup. I then disabled my Attansic built in ethernet adapter and windows would boot. I installed new drivers, but with no luck. I turned off the comp, truied a few things else, and nothing. then I rebooted this morning, and now it WORKS, but it says "local area connection3".

Is there a way to "refresh/delete" my old area connections so that I can get back to normal, and flush out the corrupted are a connections?!?

Thanks for any help?!?! I m basically curious where in windows I can go to erase the old settings and start fresh without reformatting!!

It reloaded its drivers. If having a "3" in the name is bothersome..simply right click..rename..and delete the "3".

lol.... fair enough!!!

I was just worried there may have been some corrupted files/folders I should delete that may have come back to haunt me!!!
