I was wondering, I have finally decided to get a higher fsb, I will vmod the northbridge. However, I am wanting to know who has done this and what was their sucess. I want to use a graphite pencil. Does anyone have a really good link with pictures explaining it?

now i have just been in some other forums, finalizing my decision to mod this baby. However, i have come across people saying that dropping your voltage to 1.5V actually helped...also what bios other than the d10 are you guys using, would prefer something that is official.

One more thing, it is true that high fsbs are hard on the 10 and 10.5 multi?

High FSBs arn't hard to hit if you use d10 bios. I'm using tictacs d10beta4 and I've taken my Mushkin pc3500 to 10.5x233 and was running 2..2.2.11 timmings and 100% prime stable. This bios is amazing :p

isnt it a tad risky to flash to an unoffical bios?

some of the other forums people mentioned that they had problems once they tried to flash to another bios after using the d10 and actually had to rma their boards due to errors while reflashing.....

So, i guess i am just nervous to flash on a one bios chip board to an unoffical bios....what were you able to get before you flashed to that bios

I've flashed back to offical bios and most recent and not one problem on my end.

so what kind of gains did you get in going to the d10 bios? also have any of you done the voltage mod and found a increase in you fsb?

also where do i find this d10 bios

also any comments on the 10 and 10.5 multi's not being good for high fsbs?

and the 1.5V being better, somehow i find this one hard to believe, only if heat was an issue which i am pretty sure it inst

bump for you because I have an NF7-S that isn't doing right - and I wanna try a new bios.

Question: Are you running SATA drives?

not running sata drives...however I would like some more info on this unofficial such as gains after using it....horror stories for using it...after voltmodding what gains you got and what did you volt mod it to...and the above mentioned questions about the validity of the 10 and 10.5 multi's not like high fsb's

I can't see any reason why certain mulipliers wouldn't "like" high bus speeds, it doesn't really make sense. You should be able to reach high bus speeds more easily with lower multipliers.

I have been reading over at the amdmb forums and that they all say that their is a problem with high fsb;s with these multi's and tictacs d10 bios fixes this...however it is unoffical and a few of them are corrupting their bios chips ...that is why i am looking for an alternate way
