I guess I'm a bit on the uninformed side at the moment and am trying to find out what all the next gen cards are. I know theres a Radeon X800 but it seems like I heard theres an x600? Can anyone list both ATI and NVidias new cards in order of capability? Also, how do the low end new cards compare to say a GeForce 4 Ti? Thanks.

ATI:

X800 XT PE > X800 Pro > X600

Nvidia:

Nvidia 6800 Ultra > Nvidia 6800 GT > Nvidia 6800

The X600 is a PCI Express card and it's basically a Radeon 9600 XT card, so it's not really worth it to buy it since the AGP version is cheaper.

The other cards would thrash an Nvidia Ti4xxx series, since they all have 12 or more pipelines and are crazy fast.

As for low-end, I guess you could call the Nvidia 6800 a low end. It'd beat out the Ti4 series because of its 12 pipelines and high speeds, and beat it pretty badly.

x600
x800 Pro
x800xt-PE

6800
6800gt
6800 Ultra

Any of those will be better than the ti4200, also im not sure you can get the x600 yet, of course they are all a pain in the ass to find. If im wrong about the x600 correct me please.

All Ati and Nvidia cards together according to speed:

Geforce 9800 Ultra
Radeon X800XT PE (some would say this card is actually tied for first)
Geforce 6800GT
Radeon X800pro
Geforce 6800 (some would say this card is tied for fourth)
Radeon X600XT (pci-e card that is basically a beefed up 9600XT)

I thought i was

Nvida 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition (not out yet)
ATI x800 XT-PE (Platnum Edition)
Nvida 6800 Ultra
ATI x800 XT
Nvida 6800 GT
ATI x800 Pro
Nvida 6800
ATI x600
ATI x300

excluding doom 3, i don't think the 6800 really performs comparitivily with the x800pro in any games (with high settings). this is the way i see it.

x800xt pe = 6800u (x800xt pe maybe alittle ahead in my opinion) > 6800gt > x800pro >> 6800nu
