newtech usb 3.0/esata adapter

has anyone used this or a similar adapter, or do you have one to recommend (esata input, usb3.0 output to computer)? does it decrease device performance at all?

i am still in the hunt for a motherboard and would rather not be limited in options due to the presence or lack thereof of an esata port in the back panel
