Hey guys I just installed my new rig.

I'm idling at 85 ....I have no idea what going on. The rest of the rig is is at 40 degrees. The thermalpaste doesnt fully cover the cpu....the surface area is about the size of a dime and the stick fan is running at 2000 rpm.

Any help please? I have tried reinstalling the fan multiple times. Placed it on it's side to see if the HSF was touching properly.

Did you try moving the HSF to see if it gives room? it may be that 1 one of the holes isn't fully in.
 
I've had problems installing the hsf....stupid push pins
I feel like I'm going to snap my board if I push any harder.

I'm going to try to remove the Mb and reinstall it that way.
 
I've always hated the pushpin design. I also end up wrecking one or two of the pins when removing them too. What HSF are you using?
 
I'm using the stock fans

I give up I think I've messed up the pins.....only three will pop in. Fuck this crap I'm getting a v8 from coolermaster.

Screw them and their retarded push pins.
