Newbie upgrading old setup

I have a 3 year old Swiftech Quiet Power barebones. I was going to put dual Athlon MPs in it, but never ended up using it. It has been sitting here doing nothing since then. Now, I am building an Athlon X2, and want to use the case for it. I will be buying a Swiftech Storm CPU block, but I am not sure about the pump. I believe it is an eheim 1048. I turned it on today, and it runs just fine. It has less than one hour of use on it. Should I upgrade the pump too? Or will this one be ok?
 
Well crap. It appears that the system I have uses 1/4" id 3/8" od tubing. I talked with Swiftech, and they suggested using some barbed reducers and extra tubing. Would this system flow enough? I am thinking about selling it and just getting an XP-90 and Panaflow fan.
 
A 1048 will be ok for the Storm block. Do you have any pictures of the system? What parts of the system use 1/4" id....could you switch out fittings to make the entire loop 3/8" or even 1/2"

[edit] It all appears to be 1/4" id. The tubes in the waterblocks, the tubes to the radiator, etc. Of course, only the part going into one of the waterblocks is actually labeled. So I am making a guess about the rest of it...

[edit 2] Using a piece of paper and a pen, I measured the tubes, and they all appear to be the same size. Waterblock, radiator, pump, T-line, etc are all 1/4" id.
 
does the rad use threaded barbs?

you can change the barbs on the 1048, you can get a new T-line at the hardware store for around a buck, you can get all the new tubing you need for around $10-15.

the swiftech storm should still work with 1/4 inch tubing, if you change the barbs on the block, it just means that you will not be getting the most out of it.

The rad uses some kind of 90 degree angle "quick connect" fittings. Here is a link to the picture.
