Hello,
I just started folding for Team 33 on 2/18 and as of today I have 5 computers folding for the team. In the near future I plan on including 2or 3 more--i just need to find a cheap switch to use (if someone has one to donate that would be lovely!)
My question is this:
What is a better PPD FAH Option?
I have the Live boot FAH running on 3 of my computers, and I have the Windows: V6 Beta CPU (x86) client on my other computers. One of these computes is my server, specs: 939X2 @ 2.0ghz 2gb ram win2k3 ATA Radeon 8500 980gb HDD storage. It seems to me that the windows client gets more work done then the Live cd running in VM. Does this sound accurate? The VM machine is setup as a linux64 with only 256mb of ram--is this enough? Or should I increase the ram to the VM machine to 512? The reason I only dedicated 256mb of ram to the VM machine is that I watch TV on my server and with that RAM tied up in VM i notice that the TV app looses some performance.
Anyways thanks for any advice that can be offered,
