I'm new to the world of SLI/Crossfire and was wondering if having 2 cards run in 2 8X lanes makes a performance difference versus having them run at their full 16x...I'm thinking about upgrading to a Lynnfield mobo but it only has 2 8x lanes when running multiple GPU setups
what difference does dual 16x make?...is it something most end users will notice or is just some kind of theoretical cut off that makes no practical difference?
