I've been using an i7-920 with a Gigabyte X58 motherboard as my main "work" system for a while now. I mainly use the system for video editing, photo editing, some gaming and your basic web browsing. I figured it was time for an upgrade.

I had this laying around...

That's a Intel Core i7-3970X! I decided that I should go the Micro ATX route with this build, plus I just got a Corsair 350D in to review. So with the 350D I also have a Thermaltake Smart 750W Power Supply, Corsair H80i and an Intel 335 series 240GB solid state drive.

So the system is slowly coming together. I just ordered a ASRock X79 Extreme4-M motherboard and two 1TB WD Blue hard drives.

Not sure what I am going to do about graphics or memory yet. Probably just get a 16GB kit and a mid-range GPU as I don't do much gaming.

Might get some custom fan grills, lights, etc for the case.

What do you guys think?

Pretty neat setup man. I just got same case. Please post some pictures of that awesomeness :D
