new spikes 3dmark2001...

my computer now spikes in 3dmark2001 even if i dont overclock... before it ran fine... could i have damaged something while overclocking? =T
 
how can 3dmark spike? .. i know the voltages spike... but not 3dmark.

you mean.... 3dmark unstable?
 
hmmm could it be the monitor?? because my 17 just broke, so im using a 15inch... =(
could it be that my monitor cant keep up with 3dmark therefore i see a spike every 1sec...
because my 3dmark scores are exactly the same...
 
ahh a cheapo 15'inch :p \ might be the program mate, check if vsync is on or off , your refresh rate is set at 60hz or lower maybe?
 
do you have cpuidle or cpu cool or mbm5 or any program that updates on a second basis running? happens to me all the time.
 
Something similar would happen with my Ti4200 when I set it to Render 256 frames ahead (or something like that). Default is 3 I think.
