New SG03 Build

I just finished a new SG03 build for my son and thought i'd share specs/info, been using shuttle for the last couple of years thought I'd try something a little bigger.

Build Specs:
SIlvertone SG03
DFI JR 790gx-m2rs
PHENOM II X2 550
Silverstone NT06-Evolution
4GB Team Dark 1066mhz
XFX 4770 Crossfire
Seagate 500G HD
Gigabyte ODIN GT 550 PS
2 X Scythe Kaze Slip Stream

So far very impressed with the set up, just trying to find out average temps for everything to give me a idea of how far I can push it.
There doesn't seem to be many SG03 with crossfire/Sli setup's to compare, either that or i'm blind.

Man would I love one of these cases. The problem is that my i7 would fry inside since the clearance for a HSF is pretty small. I thought about pairing it up with a Corsair H50... but I seriously doubt the tubes would reach

You should put an i7 in there anyway. Liquid cool it!

Yeah I wouldn't stick a i7 in a SG03, but thats me.

Liquid cooling in these casses has been done but there is no bloody room, especially when theres two graphics cards in there you still need some air flow in there.

You could stick a 1x 120mm radiator in there where the top 120mm fan would go, but not sure if that would be enough to cool an i7.

Then just put a 120mm fan in the bottom position for the video cards.

Nah 120mm rad wouldn't be enough for a i7.

If i built a i7 system it would only be to brag i wouldn't use it to it's potential just gaming and surfing for me another to cores would just be a waist of cash.

I love my SG03 as well. Not sure I would put an i7 in it or not. It would probably be fine running it at stock but overclocking it would require better cooling. Thing is I dont think anyone here has actually stuck an i7 in a SG03 to find out what it will or wont do. The i7 do run hotter and thats all I really know about it. Never had a i7 to test yet with a SG03.

Liquid cooling a SG03 would go a lot better when placing a 2x120mm rad in the front. Now that Scythe has 120mm slim fans it should be possible to fit 2 4890's and an i7.
Only drawback is you'll probably lose the front hdd-bay.

Yeah I don't use the first hdd bay, it could be done but you would need little kids hands to get all in and to work on it........................ Maybe I could get my daughter to install it for me

Sigh. The H50 would have gone great here. It is a single 120mm WC kit that has been reported to be as good as an ULTRA 120. As I said before though, the tubes would not reach (from the looks of it) which is a damn shame. A man can dream though. A man can dream.

Are the tubes some custom / proprietary size? Maybe you could replace them with longer tubes...

i stuffed a i7 in a SG03 with GTX260 SLI, the only way to keep it cooled is by water and a single 120mm rad is slightly behind the TRUE

ideally you would need at lest a 240mm rad and thats not going to fit internally if you have long graphics card

im probly waiting for the H50 to arrive aussie shores so i can have a fully internal setup

You still have the bottom 120mm fan and you can add a 120mm blowhole up top like I did with mine.
