New rig setup , what GPU to get ?

I wasn't sure where to post this so I guess here's my best bet.

I'm making a new rig from scratch and have been wondering what GPU I should get.
Just so you get an idea of the performance I want and the price range I'm looking into here's some of the other things I'm going to be putting in :

CPU : Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4 Ghz Quad Core

Mobo : Asus P8P67 Pro

PSU : 750W Corsair HX750

RAM : 8GB Corsair 1600MHz (2x4GB)

Case : CoolerMaster HAF 932 Advanced

My first thought was to get a Geforce GTX-Ti 560 because the 570 was slightly out of my price range. I'm not too into ATI so I don't know what they have to offer with similar performance. If you need more information or have suggestions on improving this please just reply to this post.

*edit* I'm going to be using this primarily for gaming and editing. I want to be able to play games like BF3 , Skyrim etc on high setting without losing performance. I also want to Live Stream but I don't think that should be an issue with the current state of the PC.

What exactly is your price range? What games are you looking to play? Some play quite a bit better on Nvidia cards, and some don't matter really...

570s look to be $300+ right now. You're basically going to be looking at this for sub-$300:

($290) eVGA 560ti Core 448
($255 after $15 MIR) MSI 560ti Twin Frozr 2GB
($250 after $30 MIR) XFX 6950 2GB

Between the 6950 and the 560ti 2GB, I'd probably go with the 6950 because the 560ti is pretty much sandwiched between the 6950 and the 6870 performance wise Since the 6950 is already cheaper, i'd go that route...
 
Resolution? For 1080p, either the 6950 or if you can find a deal, the 6970, which is a great card at $300ish.

The ATI 6950 2GB is my choice- most OC well and are cheaper than the 570 for the same performance. Plus, if you really want to get adventurous you can try a 6970 BIOS flash and unlock the extra shaders (or buy a card like the Sapphire Toxic that has the BIOS already loaded on the second switch).
 
If you don't like AMD, then your best bet for your budget is a GTX 560 Ti. If you don't mind buying it second hand, you should be able to snatch a pair for just over $300.
