Nice, but am I mistaken in saying that the fan is mounted the wrong way round? From here it looks as if it has been set as intake, so it pulls air, not pushes it.
 
Well isn't it best to pull air through the heat sink rather than push it down towards the processor?
 
Traditionally fans push air into the Heatsink, but really you can go either way. Try it both ways, see which gives you lower temps.
 
I was running 27*C with it pulling and at factory clock settings, I'll turn it around and see what it gets under the same conditions
 
Ok, I'm totally not a stoner and I don't think it's k00l or anything, but... is that a bong on the table? At first I thought it was part of the lamp, but on second look it seems the lamp is just behind it. I have difficulty enough reading hardware manuals when I'm sober ;)

I wondered if I was the only one who made my living room look like a computer store after a tornado... guess not :)

I actually don't think that fan attachment is all that ghetto... it'll certainly hold well. Not reusable, but how often do you remove a fan and not replace it anyway?

Nope, that there is a bong. You can see the slide with the bowl on it up in front towards the bottom. Thanks for making me feel old . . . . . .

It's the Lian-Li PC-75B Full Tower case.. It's frickin' huge.

Yes that's a bong, bought it at a head shop here in town.. Come out to Laramie WY You'll want to smoke pot, too. It's hell out here thank god school is almost over.

Anyway back on topic..

Yeah I guess it's not a bad way to mount it but would rather have screws or something.. I've made some more progress today, will post some more pics in a little bit. There's a lot of wiring to do because of all the fans and lights; and the fan and light controllers, 4 hard drives.. Trying to cover all the exposed, unhidden wires with blue uv reactive sleeving right now.. Fun times.

Actually, i think its heavily dependant on the type of heatsink. 3 of the recent ones ive used pull air though the heatsink.
 
Thats a mean lookin bong, looks like it hits really good. Me and my roomate just finished making a Double Perc 2 person Hookah. Its a fuckin beast!
 
aiigh! sleeving = teadeous !! ..but very nice when it's all done, though. :) have fun with that... sear the ends of the sleeving with a lighter after you cut it, just to make sure it does not frey too bad. :)
 
Dude, you should totally slap a 120mm fan on that bong... you could do a window mod, add some cold cathodes UV reactive hookah tubes... it would be sw33t!

Nice bong just to say... Anyway the rig looks nice and are those tornados in the front thay look like it from the side shot.
 
Yeah two tornados in the front.. I've got some new shots for ya I'll try to get posted here soon.. I've basically finished it. for the record that bowl holds about a gram of tobacco. I hope to get the case powder coated in a few weeks from my friend who can give me a great deal on it.. I'm thinking a nice metallic black exterior and a gunmetal grey interior. But gimme a little bit and I'll post pics of the finished product.
