New LCD problem/question

Just bought the benq G2400WD 24IN Widescreen. No dead pixels or anything but quick question about the brightness.

The top is darker then the bottom, no matter how i look at it. I have been playing around with it and when the bottom of the screen gets dark, the top is just way too dark to see.

This only happens while siting at the desktop/surfing the web but in games it's pretty much fine, can't notice anything it at all

I might need to get used to it but i'm not sure if i should return it or just part of the monitor.

Sounds like it's defective. It's a TN panel so some color shifting is expected, but if you can't make the top brighter than the bottom no matter what angle you're looking at it from something has to be wrong. It sounds like a defective backlight to me. I'd take it back.

yah i sent an email in to try and replace it. kinda sucks cuz it has no dead pixles on it.
