GOOOOD morning!

I am off to pick up my new kit this morning. I will be grabbing a 40D along with a few lenses. First will be a 17-55mm 2.8 IS and the other being the venerable 70-200mm 4L IS.

I'll post some shots of the unboxing very shortly. Stay tuned.

Here are the unopened boxes

I hope you enjoyed my unboxing as much as I did. Now for some shots!

Cheers,

Sean

Sean, before you spend this much money on 2 lenses, look into the new Tamron 28-300mm stabilized lens. the 17-55mm 2.8 is a fine lens of course....

<edit> nevermind, just saw you're going to get the 4L......lol

Good choices!!

I would love the 17-55 IS if I didn't already own the 24-70L. I know that it is the EF-S equivalent, but my hope is that I will be getting a 5D (or its newer equivalent) this summer.

OH ya. All shots taken with a Nikon S500 Point and Shoot.

Went with Canon in the end, huh? Looks like some fine equipment - congrats!

Wow, I wish I could afford going all out like that.

Trade you my 700/4L for your 70-200/4LIS :D

Nice selection of new toys.

Couldn't justify the cost of the switch. The difference would have been almost 3K more in the end.

Still very happy with my selection.
