Installed new WD 160gb HD. INstalled a fresh copy of XP pro all was fine for a few days then it stated lockin up and glitching on me. So I installed Xp again and now it wont wont boot past the Xp start screen. Did the HD drive take a shit?? Or is it something i'm doing wrong???

Are you overclocking? That would be the first culprit.

Is your power supply cheap? That would be the second.

*Then* look at the hard drive.

i just installed windows i was only loading apps back on. ANd this power supply use to supply 2 hard drive and now only is running. Plus it was working fine for 3 days

have you tested the memory?
have you run the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic?
