New hard drive?

Well recently I've been debating if I should get the Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive. I haven't seen any other 10,000 RPM SATA hard drives. I've been reading a lot about these hard drives and the only reason Im hesitant about buying it is becuase 37gb really isnt that much space and people have been saying that are kind of noisy. So here are my questions:

1. Is this a good hard drive and would you recommend it?
2. Do you think there will be any other SATA 10,000 RPM hard drives released soon?

Basically, do you think its a good idea to buy that HD now or wait for new ones to come out?

Get the 74G model by Western Digital. It's even faster than the 36G.
 
There was a thread before with a rumor of a 200GB 10,000rpm Seagate coming out in a few months. It could be entirely fiction however. The 74GB raptor is faster than the 36GB by a pretty big margin also.

The only problem I see with the raptors is the NCQ support. If you do a lot of multitasking or plan on moving the HD to another computer, you could have a potential performance loss.
 
Segate makes a lot of promises - remember the Momentus 7200.1 that is still MIA? ;)
I follow hard drive announcements pretty close, and I haven't heard/felt any rumblings of new 10K ATA drives. WD is sitting pretty right now with Raptor, and none of the other makers want to undercut their SCSI lines to keep WD honest. Simple business practice at that point.

For reasons others have pointed out, the WD360GD is not recommended. It's louder, slower, and more expensive per GB than it's 73GB brother.
