Greg Bowman has released a new nvidia GPU project, the purpose of which is to understand the folding of a lambda repressor protein.

Ah the next wave of P101xx WU awaits. All 8 of my GPU clients are crunching on p57xx WU's at the moment. I sense higher temps in the next 24 hours. :D

We sure are seeing lots of new units lately. I understand the scientific process but it would be nice if we could get a tweetor sumtin about how it all ties together

theres a ton of new work units.. 10102 10104.. those i have been getting a lot of.. horrible PPD but my card isnt running any warmer then it usually does..

Not seeing super horrible PpD here on 10102's:

I'm getting similar production as the 1888 pointers but my cards are all 8800s. The temperatures are warmer. I have been making an effort to cool things down a bit and it has improved somewhat. It's the coldest time of the year now and wonder what it will be like to run these WUs as the seasons change. Better cooling might be required for some cards.

cant remember the last time i had 1 EUE.. let alone 2 EUE's within 24 hours.. ive done over 400 WU's with this overclock and im sure its not unstable because even the nvidia drivers didnt crash which usually do when a WU EUE's due to my overclock being to high..

Check the temperatures on your card while you're running these WUs. I had the same thing happen to me on one system. These WUs can run anywhere from a few to as much as 10 degress higher than the older WUs depending on the card and where it is positioned in a system. I had to rearrange things like create more room between cards, install a backside HS and add additional fans to exhaust heat which was building up. For now everything seems to be OK.

highest it has gone is 61C when i had my door closed to my room.. its been between 55-60C for the last 12 hours.. its sitting at 57C right now on a 353 pointer.. ill just wait and see if i get another one while im actually awake.. see if its actually running the gpu pegged at 100%.. most WU's the gpu load is constantly fluctuating between 90-100% so the gpu never really heats up that much.. except for the 1888 pointers the gpu never hits 100% bounces around between 70-95%..

finally had one finish for me..

for some reason my WU's are eue'ing when the screen saver turns on even though my monitors are set to turn off before the screen saver turns on i never bothered to notice it.. had another WU eue after i left my computer which ive never had one of those WU's eue before so im figuring thats whats causing it since it happened 20 minutes after i left my computer which is when my screen saver turns on..

my gpu only hit 60C during the 10105 WU when i went back and looked at my graph..
