For some reason, whenever I try to play a new DVD i just bought in windows media player, it won't play with sound. Other DVDs that are new play fine, but this one, and one other, won't have any sound. I'm not sure how to get it to play with winamp or the divx player because they ask to open single files, and I cant find anything to open the DVD as a whole. I have windows media player 10, so its not outdated or anything.

I was thinking it might be my sound drivers, but does anyone know where/if i can update the drivers for the onboard sound for my Asus A8n-SLI Deluxe?

Can anyone help me out?

Go to the Asus homepage, and look up your motherboard. It'll direct you to your needed drivers, just look for them.

Don't CD-ROM and DVD-ROM's have that 4-pin that connects to the m/b for sound?

IDK becasue I've never used them, I just put it in and watch or play my movies or music

Hope i help

Thanks for the driver info.

I don't think its the connectors because other DVDs i have work fine. this one just doesn't have sound for some reason.
