not mine exactly....

My neighbor has been folding SMP (v 6.24) on a couple of his cores for a while now under Team Anonymous.

He has a i7 950 with crosfire ATI.
i7 clocked at 3.8

Now......
I've got him setup with v6.34
Team 33
using 8 cores SMP
With a passkey
and bigadv

One adventure along the way, the first time I started folding all 8 cores, the machine crashed out 5 seconds after engaging the WU. Next time we started the machine up, we restarted folding, the core engaged.......... and I hit ctrl-C about 3 seconds later as Tcore hit 99C...... we found a loose screw on the heat sink. All is well and the machine is folding right now.

I'll have to talk to him tomorrow about adding 33 to his PS3 which folds too.

Not sure, starts with a capital J,

With that kind of hardware he should be easy to spot in a few days

He's folding under JARyder19.....

Looks like he swapped that PS3 over to team 33 as well. 3 WU turned in under his passkey, 7 to go, at 3 days per WU, it will be almost 3 weeks until he gets bonuses, but then I'm guessing he'll jump up to 25KPPDish.

Change the bigadv to regular smp until he gets the 10 done, then switch back. Will get bonus qualified much faster, and it's not worth doing bigadv for just base points.

I would, but.... well....

My neighbor is not command line savvy so I set it up for him. I don't have routine access to the rig, and I wanted to set it up and forget it, so it is what it is.

Ehhh, work is getting done. That is what matters.

either way, he's making more than he did before I touched his computer, and I found the heatsink problem, So I delivered on my promises of improvement.
