Here's what I'm thinking of purchasing:

Black Raidmax 268 ATX Mid-tower
Enermax EG465P-VE 430 watt ps
Athlon-64 DDR400 3400
Asus A8V Deluxe
1024 Corsair XMS Pro
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256
120 gig Maxtor SATA
16x DVD

XP Home

Any suggestions/changes?

looks good... but just FYI - CPU stands for Central Processing Unit (so called processor..) referring to the computer as CPU isn't appropriate..

Well, I think a lot of people/places still refer to the computer itself as a CPU. Technically, the computer IS the central processing unit, if you look at it as a whole unit :p

PS: The computer looks good.

I agree - looks like you know your stuff.

And calling a computer a CPU would be like calling a car an engine. Or referring to the Sooners as Jason White

cpu

<architecture> 1. central processing unit.

2. Occasionally used (although less and less) to refer to the
system unit.

QED :p
