I just built my first computer ever (meaning i could have done some things wrong) but I get it all in and hooked up. I attach my keyboard, mouse, and lcd moniter and I start the computer with my fingers crossed. Everything seems to be running ok, but nothing appears on the screen. So I mess around for a good hour trying to figure it out. Still nothing. :(

It's probably something simple. Although I hope it isn't something bad, like my graphics card is fryed.

System specs:
Chaintech Sk8t800
AMD Athlon 64 2800+
BFG 6800 gt
2 x OCZ 512mb ram
Two Western Digital 80gb hard drives
Lite-on Cd rom drive
Plextor dvd writer

Thanks in advance,

P.s. just ask if you need to know anything else

Unplug and take everything except the mobo, processor, memory and RAM and see if it works. Get back to us when you try it ;)

Thank you,

I didn't know if you meant out of the case or not, but I did what you said inside the case and it still didn't work. I am about to try it out of the case, I'll report after I do it.

Well I just tryed it outside the case, and still same problem. I suppose one of my components is bad. Either Motherboard or video card? Ram works I had it in another machine. I'll try the video card in another machine tomorrow.

Maybe I am messing up a jumper?

Oh well :(

EDIT ::::::: Instead of triple posting I'll put my findings here. Well apparently when I put the HSF on my cpu, it cracked / scratched the cpu. :( Looks like i'll have to wait another 2 weeks for this comp.
