new comp trouble....need help!

i just finished building my new comp and im having trouble w/ it. Right now i can get into the BIOS screen but thats about all this comp can do. If i let it contunue to POST it just comes to a black screen saying '' reboot to select boot device'' in which i did but its still the same. Im thinking the main problem here is that it cant see my IDE drives it sees my hard drive and floppy drive, but it cant see my cd burner and my dvd drive. And i believe my hard drive wont turn on, but im not sure about that. I have even switched molex connectors going from the PSU to the HDD What should i do to troubleshoot this problem? If this helps here are my system specs>

P4 2.8c, intel D875PBZ mobo, Antec true430 PSU , Seagate barracuda 80gb Ultra/ATA 7200rpm, lite-on cd burner ( 52x32x52) , toshiba 16x dvd drive, 512mb kingston hyper x memory ( 2x256) running in dual channel

Have you checked and properly configured the "Master"/"Slave" jumpers on the drives? You need to have 1 master and 1 slave device per ide cable if you have two devices on the cable.

yeah i already tried that

1. Remove your Hard drive and DVD drive from the IDE ribbon cable.
2. Set your CDRW as master and plug it into a ribbon cable.
3. Make sure the ribbon cable is not plugged in upside down.
4. See if your bios recognizes the CDRW.

Try the same steps for each of your other IDE devices to make sure they all work.
