Im in a bit of a pickle, and id appreciate all the help that can be thrown at me,
Anyway i jsut bought my custom comp:

AMD xp 3200+
Abit nfs-7 v2
1024 mb of ram Dualchannel DDR400
LG 8x superdrive 4082b (IDE channel 2)
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
160 gig WD 8mb IDE ATA 133 (using SATA via adapter)
80 gig SEAGATE 2mb IDE ATA 133 (using SATA via adapter)
450 watt ISO switching powersupply,
4 80 mm LED(4) fans
Coolermaster aero 7 for the cpu cooler

The issue is whenever i try to install XP w/ sp1 the legal bought edition(owned by me), well it loads and loads..and never finishes loading.. I tried using a copied version (corporate) and it says it cant load xxxxx.dll driver.

I even tried to boot with mobile linux (knoppix) and it failed to boot.
i tried using ide only.. same thing...any help is appreciated

at first i believed it was my DVD writer, but then i swapped with a working cdrom and tried to install... same thing

Sounds like a RAM problem to me. Try it with only one of the new sticks or some old ram you may have.

test a single stick RAM with memtest86+ (via FDD)
verify the drives are on seperate channels as masters
(in the case of the HDD make sure it set to master with no slave presentif there is such a jumper setting)
remove any extra cards

Im gonna try the memtest, Moderator please move this topic to General Hardware.. i didnt see the forum group earlier thank you.

I appreciate the diagnosis, i hope your wrong, and just that computers just hate me. Cause i dun got no more cash

Dualchannel on dim 2 and 3 didnt work out. when i moved the ram to dim 1 and 2 it works fine.. now its not dual channel anymore i think? anyone have any solutions

u might need to install the SATA or RAID drivers. Press F6 when you get the blue windows screen and it asks you for 3rd party drivers.
