This is my first post in the forums here but I've been lurking forever. I figured this was the best place to get information so here goes.

I did a whole bunch of research and purchased myself a decent rig.

Specs are as follows:
Opty 165 @ stock w/ stock cooling
Asus A8R-32 Deluxe
2GB OCZ XTC PC4000
OCZ 520w Powerstream
ATI x1900xt
Antec P180

Here's what gets me. I left everything running @ stock in the bios just so I could get all of my programs and junk onto my computer before I started some OCing. Upon firing up CPUZ, I noticed two minor problems.

First we have this.....
Abnormal voltage anyone?

And then this...
Two different types of ram? I think not!

Hopefully one of you out there will know whats up. Thanks in advance.

Note: If I posed this in the wrong section I appologize, plz don't hate me :p

Have you run memtest on your ram? I had some bad kingston value ram that did that in cpu-z. It also could just be that cpu-z is reporting wrong values

The voltage for the Opterons usually run around 1.35v. If it doesn't bother you much that voltage is safe for the processor. It's only a .042 jump in volts.

First download the newest CPU-Z which I think is 1.32.1 and see if that shows the memory speeds correctly. If not run memtest on the memory and see if any errors show up. I'd also put in one stick of memory and see what speeds the BIOS finds for each one.

Hmmm....

I have an AMD 4200+ X2 and I get around the same voltage when I run CPU-Z...My system is very stable so I don't think its too much of a problem... Yet My nVidia nTune says my voltage is around 1.55v....As for your memory...that just seems strange..

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll try each stick of ram and see what that does but it will have to wait for the weekend. Friday = happy time. I'll let you know how it goes.
