Ok, so the final components have been ordered and I'll soon have a new homebuilt rig! Thanks so much to all those who helped. I'm very very glad that I didn't go through with a pre-built system. I haven't purchased a pre-built system in over a decade and now wasn't the time to change that hehe.

I know I could have gone a bit lower on the memory, but I was very impressed with quality of the Corsair Dominator CL8. The SSD was a new addition, I couldn't pass up such a great performance upgrade. My only small hang-up was the 5850. I really wanted the 5870, but was convinced other wise ;). I think it's a good decision, but still was a hard one. If I eventually go with a larger monitor, I'll just pickup another 5850.

How's this look?

New Components:
CPU: Intel i7 920 @ 2.66GHz (I will OC)
RAM: 6GB (3 x 2GB) Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D (8-8-8-24)
Mobo: Asus Rampage II Gene X58 mATX
HD1: Intel X25-M G2 80GB SSD - Will be used for OS and a few games
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 5850 1GB Video Card
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate - OEM

Re-used from my old build:
Case: Antec P180-Mini - Black
PSU: Corsair 620HX Modular PSU
HDs 2&3: 2 x WD Cavier Black 640GB HDs (used for storage and very large Apps)
Monitor: NEC 20WGX2 20.1" Widescreen LCD
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P
DVD Drive: Samsung DVD/RW w/ LightScribe
Speakers: Audioengine 5's

Haha, thanks. I should delete my comments on the Dominators, but my options were a bit limited. The G. Skill I wanted with slower timings and lower voltage weren't available. I was a bit too impatient.

Quick update:

I'm actually going to send the RAM and GPU back. I feel like I was taking a side step with the 5850 from a 280GTX SSC. Just not worth the $ right now.

Any suggestions on a good 6GB DDR3 kit?

Thanks!
