Its been half a decade since I built a new PC, and Im looking for some advice.

Here is what I have figured on so far.

i7-2600k
Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600
Corsair H100
Corsair TX750
Corsair Carbide 500R
SSD to be decided

The mobo is my big question. Its my make or break money point.
Z68 seems to be bang for the buck. These

EVGA Z68 SLI Motherboard (130-SB-E685-KR) $167
Maximus IV GENE-Z $164 (nvm, thats the small board)
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 $164
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 $179

any other mobo recommended?

Holy Corsair build! :D j/k I love corsair stuff as well.

For the mobo, I recommend the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO (/GEN3). Its what I use and treats me very well. Should run about $200. If you're OCing, its great. My i7-2600k reached 4.8GHz on one, although I dialed it back to 4.5GHz for stability and heat.

For SSDs I buy OCZs and have had good luck, although many say to avoid them due to the Sandforce controller. More and more I'm seeing sales with them near $1/GB, so keep and eye out for that whatever you decide on.

I have a GTX 560 already.
I swore off OCZ products long ago. Everything I have ever had goes tits up.
Spotted a Patriot Pyro 120 SSD on sale anyways :)

The Asus P8Z68-V Gen 3 is a good choice, and a little cheaper than the PRO version. The PRO only adds the two extra SATA 6GB ports (off the Marvell controller) and 1394 supports, so if you don't need those two things you can skip the PRO. The power circuitry, etc, is all the same.

Both of those Gigabyte boards should be fine also, but they don't have the full UEFI BIOS, if that is a factor for you. I'm also not sure of their status for PCIe 3.0, if you are worried about that.

IIRC, the non PRO also lacks on board Bluetooth.
