New Board Problems

hi, i am posting this for my freind, he just got a Gigabyte Ga7n400Pro 2 board, Bios revision F5, we set it all up and everything, but it recognizes his 2200+ as a 1500+. also some times it will not boot into windows, and freezes ant the bootscreen. he is Running a 2200, 512 XMS ram, a WD160 gig, and a WD40 gig. first of all how do we get it to recognize his processor? and why wont it boot into windows everytime?

You might have to set the jumpers on the board that's probably why the board thinks it's an 1800.

oh. for the windows thing... is it a clean install?

yeah it is a clean install, we have done it several times too. the thing is it wont let us set the fsb any higher than 100. it recognizes it as a 2400 now, but the fsb is low, and it only boots every other time.

If you could humor me w/ the make, model and wattage of your PSU, and your make, model, settings for your ram, that would be most excellent.
