New Audigy4 ??

Went to Best Buy today with intentions of picking up a X-Fi MusicExtreme but came across an Audigy 4 for $79.99. Anyone have any info on this card- I don't see it on Creative's website? They had one and I picked it up but still not sure whether to keep it. I want to replace my Audigy 1 and all I do is game anyway, so I thought I would save $50.00. I wonder if SB is just repackaging inventory-kind of strange it is less that an Audigy 2.

Yeah, saw one of those myself at the local Best Buy. It may well be something Creative did just for them - IIRC., the 'Soundblaster PCI 512' was at Best Buy for something like 2 years before it finally showed up on Creative's site. This could be something similar?

The million dollar question is - how are the drivers on it? I had an SB2 Value, and could never use the 'Mediasource DVD Audio' player - as soon as it started playing a DVD Audio disc (or sometimes in moving to the second track after playing the first fine), it would bluescreen my PC!

Never had that problem with the Audigy 2ZS - but they use very much different drivers. Boo to Creative for making branded DRIVER sets!

Anyway, how does the Audigy 4 sound?

Up unitl this point they just had an Audigy 4 Pro with a breakout box- never an Audigy 4 (non pro)without a breakout box. I'm at work- will try the card this evening.
