i'm looking at vid cards for my own summer upgrades. the leadtek GT is about the only nVidia contender for me.
Nah, gainward GT GLH all the way man, warranteed to so close to ultra speeds it makes no differen, with low latency ram, and a lovely cooling solution, only thing is the bloody noise, but if your gonna go water then who cares?

if i get an nVidia card, i'm not watercooling it. hence the leadek, with it's excellent stock cooling solution. price is another big reason.

my old maze 4-1 GPU does not fit the 6800s, i am really reaching to make any upgrades this summer, and a new waterblock would cut into my budget for other things. then there is the issue of card and block availability up here........

edit: i'm not looking at the ultra for myself, i just put that up to contrast the cooling on the asus ultra.

Well it appeared everything was going to be fine, or so I thought. My readout on my Aquaero for AS-Pump, says no pump. Somewhat confused, the aquatube is working, but my flow sensor is registering 0. Any ideas?

That's odd.

You're using the Aquaero - Aquastream interface ribbon cable, right?
The flow sensor cable isn't installed upside down?
You haven't crossed inlet with outlet (if that matters on that model)?
You're using an AC flow sensor?
You haven't made any calibration changes in the Aquaero set-up?
You don't have it set up in deairation/fill mode?
Just one pump so you're not going to need to worry about setting channels.

Don't really know. Sounds like something is defective.

wow, aqua computer stuff is SO sexy. as soon as i can afford it i am gonna jump on it.

kudos on the kick ass rig

Okay did you hook up the Aquastream to the Aquaero with the ribbon cable? Does the power go to the Aquaero only? Do not hook the power to the Aquaero and the Aquastream when you use the ribbon cable or *poof* out comes the magic smoke  How about a pic of the Aquaero controller backside please? Also there is a IN and OUT on the Flow meter. What is the Aquaero impulses/liter set at? Do you have a modified flow sensor (you would know this if teh inlet and outlet ports are the same size internally)?

*sniff* It brings a tear to my eye *sniff*

I love the smell of burning money in the morning!

Well your going to love my build once I get the chipset screens from Sharka Tuesday (maybe Monday hehehe). I think I got about $1500 samolians (includes the Silver XT) invested so far in A-C gear. Please no comments about PC appreciated :D

I bought a Gigabyte 6800GT with a passive heatsink and a fan on the backside. It was so freakin loud, even with the fan turned down as low as it would go. Other than that, the software it came with was pretty cool, showing things like temps and fan speeds, and you could monitor the memory speed/heat too. On air, it went to 406/1200, with my Alphacool NexXxos GPX (pin grid style) block, I ran it at 425/1200 24/7. My friends Leadtek (with the huge fan) is rather quiet, and it OC's to Ultra on the stock HSF.

While Aqua Computer does look nice, I happen to love all German cooling around the same, with Alphacool more. Alphacool's NV40 full card block really tickles my fancy. Alphacool is more or less, high flow with small tubing.

The flow sensor is AC, no calibration changes, not in fill mode, one pump and I am using the ribbon cable. Although no matter which way I connect the flow sensor, the Aquaero goes into factory test mode and I get an eeprom failure. I am hoping the new firmware will resolve this.
