network card needed

i think this is the right area cause i didnt see a network area. I have a

ASUS M4A78LT-M LE AM3 AMD 780L Micro ATX

im running windows 7 64 ultimate and im connected through a wired Linksys G router (BEFSR41)

Now my girlfriend runs a pci network card and her pc seems to be nice and fast expecially when watching 720p youtube gaming videos but when it comes to my PC i set the video on 720 and it plays for a sec then loads over and over.

any ideas on a good cheap network card or maybe a setting in windows 7 ultimate? the internet runs wicked fast but when it comes to video's its bleh
 
Did you load flash ? Did you check the lan setting to automatically detect settings?
 
that could of been my problem i just installed flash and java and now the video is working. i should of thought about that. While im here do they make better networking cards then onboard?

Some intels nics ARE onboard ;)
And all in all as long as you are getting the up/down as in a speedtest, then it is working correctly.
 
im starting to think its not either and its my internet. it did go down earlier. ive tryed conecting without the router and with and still haev the same problem. i guess im calling time warner.
 
ok doing further inspecting its only happening on youtube. gametrailers hd videos are fine load quick. thanks for the help and sorry for wasting your time and yes ive tryed to cycle the modem. they even pinged the modem and reset it twice from there end. like i said ametrailers hd videos load fine just youtube doesnt. i didnt notice this earlier cause i kept trying youtube and not other sources.
