I have a NeoPower 480 right now and I was thinking about swapping it out for a NeoHE 550. Cost isn't an issue at all, I just want to know if the NeoHE is any better or worse than the NeoPower. The one thing I'm worried about is my case right now is a Lian-Li V1000 until I can get something quieter (V1100). Theres not much room for the PSU, and I'm wondering if the NeoHE will fit without removing the divider like the NeoPower does.

First off, which motherboard are you using? There are (literally) tons of issues between Asus A8N series motherboards and the NeoHE.

I'm using an Intel 925xe but I might switch to an Asus 975 or Nforce4 for SLI and raid5.

Whatever you do ; do NOT get any of the NeoHE psu's. Silentpcreview more less investigated the issue and they've marked the NeoHE's as unreliable until proven otherwise. Their forums reports lots of problems with that psu as well.

SPCR just mini-reviewed a new revision that's supposed to be more compatible, but it's still up in the air. Besides, who knows how long it'll be before retail channels carry the new revision.

Meanwhile, the NeoHE line is incompatible with both Asus and DFI, and who knows what else.

Ok so I should keep the NeoPower until further notice. I just liked the SLI feature and I would be able to do a straight swap for free and get a 550 instead of 480.
