Nekid PC Help!

I saw a thread on [H] a while back that had all these naked/caseless pc's. Some were mounted on walls while others were on pieces of plywood. I was wondering if anyone had designs for putting pc's on plywood * open air * or some tips on how to do it.

It's pretty self explanitory... I'd start by laying out the mobo standoffs, then PSU placement, then trial and error everything else into place.

What kind of surface should i use? rubber? wood? metal?

metal is not a good idea if you don't use the standoffs

Your imagination is the limit. You could mount them all in a big picture frame. Or put each component in its own picture frame. Or hang them from fishing wire from eye hooks in the ceiling.

Get an old ceiling fan and mount the components to different blades. The cooling potential is unlimited.

Mount everything in a desk drawer.

I echo totalchaos. Watch you dont short any pins on circuit boards.

If you want some inspiration, go to mini-itx.com and check out their projects gallery. Yeah, those are using the mini-itx boards, but there's still a lot of great ideas.
