Hey just wondering with my build in my Sig would it run BFBC3 and some of the new games coming out good? I have a 1920*1080 monitor and would be gaming on that or even hooking it up to the 32" tv at 1080p. Would a single 5770 run the new games at 1080p with high settings or custom settings like reduced AA and AF?
I know the games are not released yet but need some advice. Would it be cost affective to buy say http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150516 and swap out my card,or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150506 with the higher clock?
I mean If I have to I could get a reference 6950 and flash it to 6970 if you can still get them to do it. That also depends on the resale value of a 5770...

so you have the 5770 now? of course its fine for the most part with some reduced settings for any game but a 6850 would be way better. personally I would save up a bit more and get the 6950 so you can crank the settings up every game now and be better prepared for upcoming games.

Thats what I was just checking on. Thanks for the fast response. The 6950 seems the way to go, but man 250~. I guess though you get what you pay for and if the extra 80 from what i originally paid for my 5770 to be able to play the new games and beyond and AA up high and that. Seems like a good future proof plan. Thanks cannondale06.

I hope that makes sense what I wrote. I haven't been to bed yet, going on 25 hours.... Anyways I also plan on getting 4gigs more and a corsair 650w enthusiast psu...

there are several 6950 1gb cards on newegg for less than $250 up front and around $210-$230 after rebate.

there is no need to upgrade your power supply for just an oced 6950 1gb.
