Well , I have a closed loops system with a res that fits in the 5 1/4 bay. It's starting to become very foggy and I can tell crap is growing on my tubes (cause I can see the slug). I've put algae killer in there when I first started but I guess I might have put too much and causing it not to work. I'm goign to make a list of things to buy so this won't happen again , because I see people running thier WC'in for over a year + with out any growth.

My main question is what I'll need and how much to apply (my math sucks).

I've been told to get water wetter , betadine , and distilled water.

I just need to know the right amounts of WW and Beta to put in , so if you math wizzes could help me out I'd appreciate it. I use about .10 - .15 litres of water to fill my whole system up ( I use two-three bottles of distilled water and they say 0.5litres each). I'd just lke to know the right amounts to add to this mixture so I can avoid having to clean out my system all the time.

Thank you very much for this help :)

If crap is growing in your system, pull all the tubes and clean them for a long time. The same goes for your res, blocks, and radiator.

As for distilled water, water wetter, you only need a cpuple capfulls in a gallon of water. It shouldnt turn the water pink. Only a little bit of betadine too. Less is better most of the time when dealing with fluid mixtures.

Do some searching on the best way to clean a watercooling loop out completly. Try www.procooling.com Its probably best to start over again.

There is a solution someone came up with, maybe someone can give you the link...it's like a 2 part mixture - shit! I'm drawing a blank lol.
Anyway, this concoction cleans the system very well and quickly too if I remember right.
If I can think of the chemicals I'll post it.

Thanks guys , I see where I went wrong. I should have just made a huge batch with the water wetter and then pour what is needed in.

Thanks a million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I do, I buy two 4L bottle of distilled water at Walmart for 1.29$ each, mix one 4L with Purple ICE/ Water Wetter , whatever I have, then fill my system.

If the system makes bubble, I then had some distilled water from the second 4L Bottle, and then pour some in the first 4L bottle, wich leave me with a Bottle full of the right mix, If I need to refill my loop do to evaporation.

mix the water wetter correctly.
as far as betadine goes use about one teaspoon...or table spoon depending on your loop...shit shouldnt grow in there after that.
