Need some input for which one to get...

Radeon 9800XT

2.0 (SM)
412MHz (ClockSpeed)
110M (Trans)
0.15u (Proc)
8x1 (PP)
412M (Vertex)
23.36GB (Bandwidth)

Radeon 9800PRO

2.0 (SM)
380MHz (Clockspeed)
110M (Trans)
0.15u (Proc)
8x1 (PP)
380M (Vertex)
21.76GB (Bandwidth

Truthfully is there quite a difference in gaming between the 2...i know there will be some difference...but from one to another theres a very large gap in money, with the PRO being much cheaper. Much cheaper on Ebay anyways. Then theres the Radeon 9600XT...which has a nice clock speed, but struggles in other areas look here:

Radeon 9600XT

2.0 (SM)
500MHz (Clockspeed)
75M (Trans)
0.13u (Proc)
4x1 (PP)
250M (Vertex)
9.6GB (Bandwidth)

or I could go with the GEforce 6600GT which has a nice clock speed and the rest:

GeForce 6600GT

3.0 (SM)
500MHz (Clockspeed)
146M (Trans)
0.11u (Proc)
8x1 (PP)
375M (Vertex)
16GB (Bandwidth)

From seeing the Geforce...it almost looks like the best buy to me from all these...i need some input here please:) I just dunno what to buy...but after seeing the specs vs cost of the Geforce..im kinda leaning towards the 6600GT.

Thanks!!!

Without a doubt, the 6600GT is the best of all those. It easily outperforms the 9800s.

...but the 6600 GT is a damn good card, and for the price, I don't think it can be beat. If you wanna go ATI, get a Sapphire 9800 Pro 256 and BIOS flash it to an XT. I noticed a big performance increase in CS:S. You will definitely have to get an aftermarket HSF for it. The stock one barely cools the card at Pro speeds.

My advice, go with the 6600 GT and don't look back. That's speaking from experience. I put one in my friends comp, that I built for him, and it absolutely owns my 9800's ass.

Thank you very much...ill probably go with the 6600GT:)....i just have one more question....whats the difference between 128bit and 256bit....cuz ive seen some video cards that are 128mb, but are 256bit. And others are 128bit.

thanks

Bandwidth. 256-bit cards will stomp on the 128-bit cards then kick then across the room.

cant go wrong with a 6600 GT, old room mate just got one, does the job nicely,
