as title says. 2.1 would be preferable. ill be using them with the onboard sound card on my asus z68-m pro. they should be relatively small as desk space is at a premium. these will mostly be used for single player gaming, movies and general web browsing.

i would like to purchase from amazon.com as i have $80 in gift cards from there and a prime membership. i would be willing to spend an extra $20 if it meant i could get something significantly better.

cause pretty much all ~100ish 2.1 computer speakers I can think of suck ass.

i have polk t15 bookshelf speakers and a tripath mini amp and polk psw10 sub for my computer set up.. it is nice.

i found some good reviews for the m audio av30s they are $88 on amazon also, still not sure what to get at this point.

I apologize for the thread hijack but how does this setup perform. Im a big Polk audio fan in the car audio world and have been competing in SQ contests with their gear for over 6 years with very good results. Theyve got a lot of their bookshelf speakers for a song and dance on their Ebay Polk Direct site and was thinking of trying some of them for my rig but there is no place around me that has any Polk speakers I can demo.

So I should say I am no audio expert. I am very pleased with the my polks.. I also own a pair of m30s. They are clear and they can get loud... I have no relationship recommending them
