I am using a Barton 3200+ in my HTPC and my current cooler is not doing the job. What's a good, solid choice for this chip? I also tried a Thermalright SLK-800A but that was even worse.

after reading that guide i'd like to say that I have an si-97 on my 2500+ (clocked as a 3200+) and the thing works great. Its got a nice big quiet fan and keeps the temperatures really nice and low. I max out around 38 or 39c under load. Just make sure you use something like arctic silver 5. Without a decent thermal paste, even the best heatsinks will disappoint

Thanks quadnad, I will take a look at that guide tonight after work. JPGR87, I confess I am using Antec Formula 5 :(

I've got an slk-800 an 30cfm 80mm fan on a 2400+ OC'd to 2.2Ghz works great. Make sure to use some AS5!
