ok here is the deal i need a very small case and i have done research a lot and i'm getting no where.
i need this system to be a gaming system.
What i need is a case that will fit these things:
atx powersupply
microatx motherboard
radeon 9800 pro 128 (AGP8x)
winfast 2000 capture card (pci)
One IDE hard drive
One CD-RW
If possible i also want a:
dvd dual layer burner instead of cd-rw
2 ide hard drives instead of one.

i was looking at micro atx cases but i have to have 500watt power supply
if someone could find me a 500 watt microatx power supply my problems will be over

i was also looking at these cube cases but i can't tell if they hold atx power supplies or not

please help me

this case seems to work but i was wondering if someone could confirm it and if it doesn't work tell me why

it says it is atx powersupply and microatx mobo so it sounds perfect

it also says something about pfc powersupply. what does that mean?

if you can find even better please respond

i looked at antec site and it doesn't look like a standard atx power supply
are you sure any power suppl;y will fit in it?

It's not a standard ATX power supply, but you could always "mod" the case to fit one.

Any why do you have to have a 500 Watt PSU?

well i have an antec sl450
a radeon 9800 pro 128
and a barton 2500 ovverclocked at 2.2ghz
and i've already had problems with it and it used to not boot becasue not enough power going to the radeon 9800 and said make sure its plugged in correctly

so i'm guessing i need a 500 watt power supply
i don't know much about computers so tell me if i'm wrong

the highest i've found a matx power supply is 300 watt
will that handle my radeon 9800 pro and other stuff
if so will i be able to overclock

The items you're listing would run fine on a quality 300 watt PSU.

I ran a mobile 2600+ @ 2.7, FX5900, 3 160cfm Delta fans, 4 pci cards, including a leadtek tv card, 2 optical drives, 4 hard drives including a WD raptor, and a vantec tornado off a 350 watt basic antec for the longest time.

More is always better, but I think you'd be fine with a lesser PSU. Many people run high end components in Shuttle boxes, including 9800pros.

*Edit- There are huge differences in power supplies other than just rated wattage. A quality 300watt PSU can perform equally with a generic 500watt. You need to look for the number of amps on the 12/5 lines etc. Its not all pure wattage :)

yeah, you really don't need the 500w. For the 9800 pro, i'd plug the power in BEFORE the hard drive/whatevre else is on the chain. If you can give it it's own power connector that would be best. Some people have problems with 'unclean' power from the draw of a harddrive/other optical drive on the chain before it.

Why not get the All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro. Wouldn't it serve the same purpose, but without having to have that extra PCI card? Just my thoughts. I could be wrong about it being the same as the capture card, but I'm pretty sure.
