I need some recomendations on a 24 port 10/100/1000BaseTX managed gige switch.

Ideally it would be 1U in size, rack mountable, and have a serial port for console management. It needs to have 24 RJ-45 UTP ports, capable of 10/100/1000 BaseTX, full duplex, auto-sensing, auto-negotiation.

It would be nice if it did SNMP too, so we can track traffic utilization via MRTG.

Something like a Cisco Catalyst 3750G-24T-E looks like it would do what I need, except it goes for about $6,000

What do you guys think of the Netgear models? I'm also looking into switches for a new network.

And what degree of management do you need? L2 or L3?

Netgears are fairly cheap compared to Cisco. Layer 2 management goes for about 900. Layer 3 Starts at 2000 or so.

Side Question: Which one would I need to prioritize do a VLAN and prioritize VoIP Traffic by MAC Address?

Dell has a 24 port gige managed switch for $880 here. You won't find the features in any other switch for this price. At $36.67/port, that's very inexpensive.
