I have a 9800XT that is a moderately good overclocker. I am upgrading my system and was wondering if i would see a HUGE difference between the XT and say a 7800GT KO? Any recommendations. I was going to go S939 and was wondering whether or not to stay the AGP course (refurb from newegg) or get a new mobo with pcie SLI.

Since you have already committed to going to 939, and will have to reinstall etc anyway, there is no reason to not get a PCI Express motherboard and video card. The 7800 boards are available exclusively on PCI-E, as are X1___ Radeons (for the time being).

You are looking at a minimum of double the horse power by going to a 7800GT or better, as well as being able to get new image quality features. You can get a 7800GT for ~$350. Prices on (noticably slower) 6800GTs on AGP are around $300, and you'll be stuck trying to unload an AGP card when (not if) you move to PCI Express down the road if you give AGP one more hurrah.

Listen to his advice! I have a 6800GT AGP in a MSI Neo2 and will have to upgrade my Video Card in order to upgrade my Mobo to NF4. I should have stuck with my 6800NU until I was ready to get the DFI NF4 Board.
